Roundabouts are popping up on roadways all around the American Midwest. What could go wrong, right?
Here in the US, roundabouts run counter-clockwise. That’s just how it is.
Except I actually just encountered a guy, who was backing up within a roundabout. Apparently, he missed his turnoff. So he threw his vehicle into reverse to try his exit again.
Yikes!
Fortunately, there were only 4 cars in play at the time, and we all saw what this rocket scientist was up to. We all hit the brakes and watched. Pretty sure there was some serious head-shaking around the roundabout. We’ve probably all been around the block a few times, so to speak.
I wanted to shout, “Hey, just go around the circle again!”
Go figure.
