Nodding Off

Notice anything nonsensical about this photo?

This is what happens, if you pull up to the McDonald's drive-through a little before the you-know-what of dawn. At least, in our town, it is.

They seem to have stationed an employee outside in the ordering lane with a tablet, presumably to help customers pick up their morning coffees more promptly.

Only it appears this employee didn't get HIS coffee.

Not sure you can tell from the photo, but this guy is dozing. We sat in the drive-through lane and cracked up, watching his head nod up and down.

He's napping.

Maybe it's the fresh air, right outside the fast food restaurant. No, wait. Perhaps it's the vehicle exhaust fumes ...

Quick. Somebody get the guy a gas mask ... and a strong cup of java.

  1. Poor guy! He's just like the rest of us - TIRED! Needing a little nap! Nodding off! Sleep is so necessary and who knows, the McD's gig may be his second or third job. I hope he got some coffee and didn't get fired!

    Happy A to Zing!

  2. How delightful! Thanks for the joy. Happy I found your blog through the A to Z Challenge. (I once had to fire a paralegal who numbered documents in his sleep. Sometimes he missed pages. Sometimes he numbered the same pages several times. It was funny but not acceptable.) Drusilla

  3. Aww, haha! Usually I do my pulling off to get a coffee because I'm nodding off on a long drive... and watching that guy would have been contagious for me! :)
