H is for “Head Butt" - Oxymorons from A to Z

Hey? Does anybody know which end is up?

A head butt may be the epitome of oxymoronica. OK, that’s not a real word, but you grasp the point.

This one begs the question of where one’s head might be … or not.

Sure, we’re talking about soccer here. Let’s go with that.

What’s an oxymoron?

Basically, an oxymoron is a phrase that seems contradictory or incongruous. Taken literally, the words do not make sense. Often, oxymorons find their way into popular usage, becoming cultural catchwords or frequently used idioms.

Many of these curious wordings strike us as delightfully amiss. Besides, what sort of whimsical word is “oxymoron”?

  2. This cracks me up. You're making me think of words in a whole new way. Thanks for the visit on Traveling Suitcase and info about page load time. I just decreased posts showing from 8 to 4. It loads quickly for me; but that may not be a fair trial. If you get a minute could you see if it's any better for you?
    Thanks
