February 14th is a celebrated occasion for
confessions of affection. Of course it is. How many cherished ones declare their love on Valentine’s
Day, whether they really want to or not? It’s almost holiday protocol for lots
of lovers.
This little Valentine
contains a confession of an altogether different sort.
The androgynous little cherubic one pictured here appears to
be ‘fessing up to affection, but the image offers another story. The young
subject, who is clearly a little wet behind the ears, seems to be washing up
for the holiday.
This begs the question: When’s the last time this kid
cleaned up? Maybe we don’t wanna know.
Plenty of people send racy, risqué, or downright dirty
Valentine’s Day greetings. And this is surely not of that ilk.
But it’s still ick, at least in our book, and we think it should be scrubbed. After all, who wants
a sweetheart who only cleans up once a year?
