The holiday season is a wonderful time for giving gifts and
focusing on other people – you know, stuff we should be doing all year long.
But at Yuletide, we are reminded of peace and goodwill to man at every turn. Well-known seasonal songs often bear messages of generosity and caring.

This next Cringe-Worthy Christmas Song was obviously written
with generous motives. The message seems to be a good one – remembering those
less fortunate than ourselves at Christmastime.
And … I adore the late-great Nat King Cole. Most of his Christmas songs are perennially popular classics, including The Christmas Song.

That's not so bad! Seems like a good call for us to remember the fatherless, at least at Christmastime. Perhaps the task of doing so wasn't so daunting back in the day as it is today.
