25 Cringe-Worthy Christmas Songs: #24

The holiday season is a wonderful time for giving gifts and focusing on other people – you know, stuff we should be doing all year long.

But at Yuletide, we are reminded of peace and goodwill to man at every turn. Well-known seasonal songs often bear messages of generosity and caring.

This next Cringe-Worthy Christmas Song was obviously written with generous motives. The message seems to be a good one – remembering those less fortunate than ourselves at Christmastime.

And … I adore the late-great Nat King Cole. Most of his Christmas songs are perennially popular classics, including The Christmas Song.

Uh, but this one … oh, please!

  1. That's not so bad! Seems like a good call for us to remember the fatherless, at least at Christmastime. Perhaps the task of doing so wasn't so daunting back in the day as it is today.

(This might make a good theme song for the Angel Tree project.)
